The Sacra di San Michele is a religious complex on Mount Pirchiriano, situated on the south side of the Val di Susa in the territory of the municipality of Sant’Ambrogio di Torino, in the Metropolitan City of Turin, Piedmont region of northwestern Italy. We were on our way to Goillet Lake at 2561 meters above Breuil-Cervinia and took this shot with apparently no wind blowing on the lake. It’s 23 years since I first knew this outstanding piece of rock, italian called Mount Cervino, but all the time I see it in front of me it leaves me stunning and breathless. It’s a deep feeling you never forget.
